NR-1 requires companies to map psychosocial risks in the workplace. Self-reported questionnaires have known limitations: responses filtered by fear of retaliation or the desire to give the "right" answer. Our implicit priming methodology captures signals that traditional questionnaires cannot capture.
BRAIN is a technological solution developed by Cognitive Marketing & Insights for mapping psychosocial risks within organizations. Using a scientific methodology based on implicit affective priming tests, BRAIN reveals how employees truly perceive their work environment — going beyond conscious and socially desirable responses.
The Regulatory Standard NR-1, updated by the Ministry of Labor and Employment, mandates the mapping of psychosocial risks in the workplace. Traditional research methods based on conscious questionnaires often capture only what the employee wants or can express, overlooking automatic and emotional processes that truly affect well-being and productivity.
NR-1 requires rigorous mapping of psychosocial risks with a scientific methodology and auditable results.
Responses filtered by fear of retaliation or the desire to give the "right" answer do not capture what truly influences employee well-being and productivity.
BRAIN uses the Affective Priming Test, a technique supported by decades of academic research in implicit cognition that measures automatic associations through reaction time. The participant is exposed to a series of visual stimuli and words that they must quickly classify as positive or negative. The speed and pattern of responses reveal the participant's automatic associations with themes related to the work environment.
The test lasts approximately 10 to 15 minutes and can be taken on any mobile device (Android and iOS) with an internet connection. Access is provided via a code supplied by the contracting company, ensuring security and access control.
We begin by applying implicit affective priming tests to capture employees' automatic perceptions — what appears before the rational filter.
BRAIN processes and anonymizes the collected data, providing actionable insight into organizational climate, segmented by department, role, and age group.
Based on the results, we deliver preventive and corrective actions aligned with NR-1 and LGPD, directing mental health investments where they are most needed.
Level of implicit associations related to anxious states in the workplace.
Implicit indicators of depressive states associated with the organizational context.
Degree of emotional and professional exhaustion perceived implicitly.
Comprehensive mapping of psychosocial risk factors in accordance with NR-1.
Level of positive associations with the work environment and overall well-being.
The Implicit Association Test (IAT) is one of the most validated tools in cognitive psychology, developed by Greenwald, McGhee, and Schwartz (1998). It measures the strength of automatic associations between concepts, revealing implicit attitudes and beliefs that may differ from conscious statements.
The BRAIN Platform implements the standard D-score (Greenwald et al., 2003) algorithm, ensuring results backed by decades of academic research in implicit cognition, adapted for marketing, political, and workplace contexts. Our platform is suitable for psychosocial risk assessment (NR-1), public image studies, and organizational mental health.
Define categories, stimuli, and configure IAT test parameters.
Generate a unique link or QR Code and send it to participants.
Participants complete the IAT directly in the browser.
Access the dashboard with D-scores, reaction times, and export the data.
Everything you need to conduct implicit association research with scientific rigor.
Create studies with multiple categories for brands, images, concepts, or other stimuli.
Our IAT analyzes reaction time in milliseconds — automatic reactions that are much harder to mask than self-reported responses in a traditional survey.
Monitor results in real time with D-score metrics, reaction time, and distribution segmented by department, role, and age group.
Automatic calculation of the D-score according to the standard Greenwald et al. 2003 algorithm.
Run studies at scale. Our platform supports data collection with thousands of participants simultaneously.
Export data to CSV or other formats for analysis in R, Python, or SPSS.
BRAIN offers practical solutions for various areas of people management and corporate well-being:
Assessment of organizational climate, engagement, and employee satisfaction using a rigorous research approach.
Identification of psychosocial risks, prevention of burnout, and implementation of data-driven wellness programs.
Accident prevention through monitoring of critical emotional states and psychosocial risks.
Meeting NR-1 requirements with validated scientific methodology and auditable documentation.
Assessment of corporate culture, alignment with company values and mission.
Implicit data to design effective programs aligned with employees' real needs.
Participant privacy is an absolute priority. Individual data is never shared with the contracting company or third parties. All results are presented in aggregate form, making it impossible to identify any participant. Data processing strictly follows the General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
